Tatyana Scarlett, MHC-LP (she, her), Psychotherapist

Tatyana is a warm, grounded, and deeply empathetic mental health counselor who creates a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and respected. Her presence is calm and affirming, and clients often describe feeling at ease with her—able to speak freely without fear of judgment. Tatyana believes healing happens through meaningful connection, and she takes the time to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship with each person she works with.

Her approach is collaborative and client‑centered, allowing therapy to unfold at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Tatyana helps clients explore patterns, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and compassion, supporting growth that feels both sustainable and empowering. She is particularly attuned to how past experiences and trauma shape present‑day challenges, and she works thoughtfully to help clients build insight, resilience, and self‑trust.

Tatyana draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strength‑based approaches, integrating these tools in a way that feels personalized rather than formulaic. She adapts her work to each client’s unique needs, honoring cultural, relational, and identity‑based experiences. Her clinical experience includes working through a trauma‑informed lens with concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and parenting challenges. Tatyana earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and has worked with diverse populations across group and private practice settings. Earlier in her career, she served as an intake coordinator, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding client needs and helping individuals take their first steps toward care. At the heart of Tatyana’s work is a belief in people’s inherent capacity for growth and healing. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s complexities and reconnect with their strengths.
